August 2019: Too many rescued dogs stayed with us for a while before going to their homes. Too many pictures taken and received. Early august
MUFFIN was rescued at Kissamos' harbor together with
VEGA. He is in his new home in Germany with a fellow friend and she is in Denmark. There are both so cute, so lovely! Here they are.
One year ago Carina rescued and adopted
PATRIK. Here he is in Sweden with his friends.
October 2017: We had
KAMIANA, a young mother with 9 puppies which went to Austria;
ELLA to Sweden;
DANNY to Norway;
MISCHA, BENTLEY, GEORGIE, BRUNO, BARI & BEA to UK; and
MARY with her 10 puppies are still in Crete.

8 & 9-2017 People often call us much too late, the day before departure or when they're already home. Many called us, having fallen in love with a puppy or a dog, but unfortunately didn't manage to finalize their adoption project. That didn't happen with these lucky guys:
CRUISE was seen by Christina when her cruise ship moored in Souda bay. Back home, she asked us to search for him and bring him to our house. What a friendly and affectionate dog! He's leaving for his home in UK early October.

Irene & Andrea from Germany found

entrusted her to us and are coming back early October to bring her home in Dusseldorf. She's Fortunata's best friend!

ZORBA is luckier. He's leaving on September 16th with his owner Nicolo to live in Genova.
GRETA & LISA & ATLAS were rescued by Paws in Paleochora and were taken in charge by Argos Rescue in Finland, who found them a loving home. They're only 8 weeks old and will have to wait a while before flying! (picture to come)

VAKX was rescued by Helle and the Danish Rescue Association. A very lovely little boy who left us on April 1st to Denmark. Good luck little chap!

07/08/09 - 2016 July, August and September are perfect months for Cretan stray dogs! Dog-loving tourists fall in love with them and want to adopt them. Here they are! The three first, Nilo, Doris & Nella were rescued by members of the Finnish Cretan Animal Rescue Association and immediately found a loving home! I missed the pictures of another couple of puppies: Elli & Anna.

06-2016 Each year Teresa (UK) rescues and finds a home for a lot of Cretan stray dogs. This month, it's her son's turn, James and his girl friend Sophie to save THEO, this beautiful collie and terrier mix, about 6 months old. He definitively shows he has the gifts of both breeds. Playful, gentle, affectionate, friendly with people and dogs, big or small. A dog to have!
05-2016 Meri from Finnland enjoyed her holidays in Kolimbari, but was very unhappy to find three abandoned puppies next to the hotel. She fed them; asked and phoned everywhere to try to find a shelter, without success. She called her friends and colleagues at home, urging them to adopt one and she succeeded. One of her friends, Mina, found us on Internet and called us, asking us to go and collect the puppies, which we did. The next day we took them to the vet for their passport, microchip and vaccines. They'll stay with us till the 5th of July, when Mina and her husband will come to Crete for a few days and bring them back home. Here they are: Mina at the back will stay with Minna; Kriti, in front, with Sirpa and Petra adopted Molly, the darkest one.

05-2016 Glenn from Belgium found Filos
also in Kolimbari, rescued him and adopted him. Not a surprise! He's
really a very cute little boy. He'll stay with us for nearly one month
and Glenn will come back to Crete end of June to pick him up and bring
him home. That's what we call love!
February 2016: Six puppies and their mother Mitsy were rescued by Jo-Anne (UK) who kept Mitsy and one puppy and found a good home for the other five: Bunnie, Pepe, Myiah, Bessie, Hattie & Trixie.
October 2015: Skilos
(male) and his sister Souda were rescued in Kalives by Paul (Gloucestershire,
UK)
Grandy
lived on the beach in Kolimbari and broke the heart of Markku & Raija from
Oulu in Finland, 600km north of Helsinki! He is there now! Beautiful, but
brrrr!!!!!
Ted &
Bear are two inseparable friends and were rescued by Teresa (UK) in Stavros on
Akrotiri
Finaly, Val
& Steve fell in love with Maia Grace Disson of Saint-Marina, found in Agia Marina and they decided to take her home
to Hartlepool. Isn't she cute? And noble!

From left to right: little Sally is going to Bergamo in Italy, Billy-brown to The Netherlands, black-Joey to Scotland, Lucky-tail-up, Idi and Jake & Pepper all went to Sweden.
